Privacy policy

Loot Critters is made by Krauq LLC. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• A game account. The first time the game goes online it creates an anonymous account: a random id and a secret token that stays on your phone (we keep only a one-way hash of it). No email, phone number or real name is asked for.
• Your game save. Your progress (skills, items, settings inside the game) and the record of game commands since the last upload, used to sync your save and to check hiscores are honest.
• What you choose to share. The name you pick for your critter, the badgers you follow, cheers you send and reports you make about names.
• Your IP address, briefly and in memory only, to limit abuse (for example, too many new accounts from one place). It isn't stored with your account.
• Transfer codes. If you move to a new phone, a one-time code (stored only as a hash) that expires after a day.

Ads

The game shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, such as the advertising ID, and information about your device and ad interactions, as described in Google's policy. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent first through Google's consent form, and you can change your choice.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't use third-party analytics SDKs; we measure the game from the saves themselves.
• We don't collect location, contacts or photos.

Notifications

If you allow them, reminders are scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent to us for them.

Your choices

• Delete your account from inside the game (Badger → Delete my account), or ask us (see deleting your account). This deletes your account, save, name, friends and scores from our servers.
• Export your data from inside the game (Badger → Export my data): your account, save, scores, who you follow and the cheers you sent.

Children

Loot Critters isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Where data is kept

On Google Cloud servers. Your save also stays on your phone.
